Good morning, sorry it took so long to post a note but I just finished my first shower since arriving at the hospital. Its a little odd sitting in a chair and having help but I do feel so much better. My right arm is still hurting a fair amount but better than yesterday, I'm on the mend. Hoping to make a break and take a short wheelchair ride Sunday, we'll see how I feel.

Today's job is to start eating better before the dietician gets any tougher on me. I really have not had much of an appetite, It's a heck of a way to get a jump on my post holiday weight loss program. I'd really like a glass of wine.

I'm off to take a rest as the whole shower thing really tired me out. I'll send you all a note later today.

Thanks for your thoughts, Ed sitting here taking dictation from Marta.

P.S. I know Marta is feeling better, her ability to give orders is improving by the hour. Ed.

So glad to hear Marta that you made it to a chair. Has to be a nice change of scenery..

Way to go giving Ed orders, can't wait until you tell all of us what you need... I know I am looking forward to the day to help out in anyway possible.

Get some rest. Thanks again for the update.

Hugs - Pam

Marta..you go girl! I am so thankful for the recovery you have achieved so far. I am waiting for you to take control of the remote for the TV in your room!!!

I won't be seeing you until you reach the re-hab stage of your recovery...then, I'll have lots of time to help with PT (not personal time...physical therapy). I must admit...you have broken far more bones that I ever did.

I pray for you daily. See you soon :)

At last, the sign we've all been waiting for... complete recovery must be just around the corner... Marta wants a glass of wine and is ordering Ed around. Atta girl!
Keep up the remarkable healing Marta, we're all cheering you on.
Fondly,
Tammy

How wonderful to hear you are on the mend Marta, and giving Ed some orders! ;-) We are thinking and praying for and about you daily, and glad you are on your way to recovery. I'm sure that glass of wine is closer than you think!

Take care and stay strong! Lots of hugs and good wishes.

Marta,

I am so happy to hear all the positive news today. Be careful on that wheelchair ride and be sure to strap in tight. I am happy that your ability to give orders is improving so rapidly--that's a life skill that you never want to lose. Arm wrestling is very overrated, and entirely option---I personally suck at that, so Marta, as long as you can tip a wine glass you've got the skills more needed. In any case, your friends to the north in Portland, Phil and Kathy are thinking of you, as we do every day.

Love, K and P

YEA Marta!! If I can't talk to you personally this is the next best thing. having you "talk" thru Ed. You are really our miracle girl and I love hearing of how you are moving right along. We'll have glass of wine soon. Love, Aunt Kathey

Marta: It is so glad to hear you are doing so well. We have been traveling for the last (thinking of you every step of the way) couple days and right now we are in the heart of the wine country. You'll have to let me know what you like and I'll make sure you get it. Take care hugs and kisses
