Good morning, well all things are still OK on the hospital front. Marta is really sore today and sleeping a fair amount as they are loading her up with pain medicine. Its really needed.

They doctors, this morning are very optimistic that Marta will regain a good portion of the use of her right arm. This process will take a number of months due to healing and the following rehab to learn to use the wrist and hand again. The process to repair the forearm included bone grafts, more metal plates and a partial fusion of the wrist which may leave her range of motion at about 65 - 70 % of the original movement she had to start with. The great news is in 3-5 months she will be able to resume lifestyle activities, other than arm wrestling, of course........

I'll keep you posted, thanks for your thoughts, Ed.

Thanks Ed for the latest bit of news and for all that you do.
So glad all the surgeries are over, hopefully forever. Now Marta can concentrate of just learning to move things again. I'm so sorry she is in so much pain but thankful that they have meds for that. Please let me know as soon as I might talk to her on the phone again. I really miss that personal contact. Tell her to hang in there and we love her. Aunt Kathey and Vern
