Sunday, November 23rd
Hi everyone, hope you're inside staying warm this evening. Two plus weeks after surgery my right wrist is coming alone. I'm still fairly sore and swollen. The surgeon not only removed the plate but removed some of the bone that had fused together so perhaps in the future I would have more rotation ability. We won't know how that goes for several weeks and/or months. Ice and Tylenol have been my constant companions.
The kids will be here for Thanksgiving as well as our good friends the Harder's. Our family has a lot to be thankful for today and every day. I certainly think of my mother each day and try and focus on the good memories rather then the sadness I feel at losing her almost a year ago.
I start volunteering tomorrow at one of the elementary schools here to read to 2nd graders for an hour each week. I'm very excited as reading is one of my favorite things to do.
Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
