Marta has another busy day today, so busy she won't be around to see you, while the doctors whisk her around the hospital for a number of things. The 2 important events are.

Marta getting both casts again changed out. This enables the doctors to check her progress by taking pictures as well a visual of how both legs are healing.

Marta is also getting the screen vents taken out of her arteries, these were put in sometime ago and are there to protect her from any blood clots that may try to pass through her system. This job will be done going forward with medicine.

Just another busy afternoon, hopefully sleep will find its way to her room after all this.

I'll keep you posted. Thanks for the calls, e-mails & thoughts. Ed for Marta.

Happy Monday Marta, Ed and family! It's great to be able to track the daily progress and also see how Ed's typing is progressing! Atta boy! Is there some sort of mileage allowance for all those trips around the hospital...how in the world is someone supposed to get enough rest to heal with all of that crazy activity? I am prescribing a couple weeks in Montana for rehab...
Love you guys!!

My Dear Marta,

I’ve just recently tuned into your blog site and I’m so happy to know you are making such good progress with your recovery. I see Ed’s been doing a remarkable job keeping everyone posted with regular updates. He’s turned into an excellent personal assistant hasn’t he? It is also great news to know your surgery Thursday went so well. And, that first shower must have felt “SO” nice – the next best thing to going to the spa.

Your aunt Kathey called to tell me of the tragic and sad news of your horrendous accident and the loss of your dear mother. What a shock it has been…

My most heartfelt sympathy for your enormous loss. I am sure you know Carol was a cherished friend whom I loved very much, and I’m grateful and was blessed to have shared her friendship for so many years.

Please know that I think of you every day and am keeping you in my prayers. I know you have a strong spirit with a determination to match, and many loved ones who will be standing by your side and cheering you on as you move forward with your healing process.

Anxiously awaiting updates with more good news about you.

With love and caring thoughts,

Lenna

Just a note to let you both know you're in my thoughts. I hope this fades to a memory tomorrow but failing that, I hope it's soon.
