So far today has been a pretty big day. Mom just sat up in a chair and is now completley unhooked from her ventilator, we plan to bring her out of the ICU tomorrow to a room on the orthopedics floor. Thanks for all the comments and support, we'll keep you posted.

I read about Marta's horrible accident from a link on the APCO news letter. I so sorry you lost your grandmother and that your mother has sustained such serious injuries.

The 911 community is very tightly knit across the country. We can all feel the sorrow and struggle the Lane County employees must be dealing with right now.

My thoughts and prayers are with your mother, your family and the Lane County Employees. Have faith. The Lord can and does work miracles.

That's good news that she's sitting up and off the ventilator!

Get well soon Marta!

So glad to hear of the progress your mother is making! I've been reading your blogs daily. Like someone else said, the 911 community is pretty tight. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Marta, Ed, Emily & Michael...
I'm so very sorry for your injuries and the loss of your Mom/Grandmother. It seems your family has had more than it's share of troubles this year. "Sympathy" just doesn't seem sufficient to express how sad I am on your behalf. I wish (and pray for) your strength & endurance to overcome this hugh obstacle in your lives. Know I think & send up a prayer for you guys often.

Fondly,

Cecilia Green

Marta, so wonderful to hear you are unhooked and sitting up. We are sitting in the airport and our plane leaves in a bit, so I hope to see you soon. This whole blog thing is really neat and I love all the 911 people in all these places who are holding you so dear. Keep on resting up and we'll all be at your beck and call. More love to you and your family and nap, nap, nap, Love, the Spragues
