hi all, yesterday was pretty low key. Mom's eyes were much more open and she is now nodding and mouthing words to communicate with us. She is a little more awake and looks great. Today we are hoping to get a valve up to her so that she can talk with the trach in which will be really nice for her. We now have a laptop up here for her so i wanted to let everyone know that slowly we will read emails that have been sent to her and posts from this blog, so keep them coming. Her email address is martabarclay@comcast.net and eventually she will be able to write back which will be good therapy and give her something to do. Thanks again for all the support mom is doing great.

My heart hurts for all of you. Marta has been a good friend to me for as long as I have worked for her and she is one of the most sweet and sincere people I have ever known.
May God bless you all and cover you with comfort and strength as you go through these trying times.
Please let me know how and when I can be of help.
love, EARLENE 541-689-5693
To the Barclay Clan,
Each of you have been in my prayers and thoughts daily. Marta has been a person who has been a great strength to me at work, and I am looking forward to being able to return the favor to her and to all of you as needed through these challenging times.
Thank you Emily for keeping us updated on your Mom. This type of communication has been very helpful for those of us that care a great deal about Marta.
Love,
Janet Hansen
