1-9-2008 Good Morning from the 4th floor.
HELP, I remember so well the hundred's of you that have offered to do anything, anytime, any place for Marta. Well we need to call on that favor today.
Marta wants all of you to think great thoughts for her the next few days and let her rest. Its real important that she is ready for tomorrows surgery and putting it off again is not her desire. Those of you who have seen Marta have stated how good she looks and how well she is doing and this is true, but under the hood is a body working full time at healing. Right at this time for some reason it is really taking all her strength & efforts and she does not have anything left to give.
We really think that she will be good to go and back ready to see some of you this weekend. Just give her a few days to rest, another surgery and maybe even a day to regroup.
Please feel free to e-mail her at martabarclay@comcast.net I read these to her daily. They are also all saved as she is going to return one to all of you. It's hand therapy when she is able to learn how to type down the road.
I can tell you she is bored stiff but is in this no man's land of helpless recovery, rest and food for her strength is best for the next 48 hours or so. I'm going to be able to have dinner with Marta tonight around 5:30 and will get a post up ASAP so you all will know how today went as soon as I do.
Thanks for all the positive energy and your thoughts as we go forward into tomorrow. We will keep you posted. Your all the best and Marta sends her love to all of you.
Thanks, Ed typing for Marta who is trying to stomach hospital oatmeal.....................

Ed; Thanks so much for your updates. You must be exhausted yourself. I hope you are getting your rest as well. Please give Marta a hug for me.

Thanks Ed for the update... I can understand Marta getting enough rest for the days ahead. Thoughts and prayers are what most of us do best for Marta at this point. But... please know the whole Barclay clan are in our prayers during this most difficult time.
Until I see Marta again.... Hugs.. Pam Palmer
Ed and Marta,
The strength in your family is amazing. Thank you for keeping us posted on Marta's progress. I wish her the best, as she faces her next round of surgery.
Please know you and your family are in my thoughts daily, as you work through these tender emotions, and difficult times.
God Bless You.
