Well what a week. All the changes, things with my body, parts healing, a move to a new temporary home. Yes, I'll probably move back in with Ed eventually. I'll give you a recap of things I have done this week that I could not do a week ago.
Sitting up in a wheel chair and accepting visitors.
Talked to my brother, aunt & uncle on the phone.
Putting my glass's on all by myself.
Holding a glass and drinking out of a cup, all on my own.
Taking a wheelchair ride outside and breathing in fresh air for the first time in a month. It's a little cold but felt so good.
Eat soup with a spoon and not spill, left handed.
Went to a shower room, been a long month.
Going to the restroom and not sitting on a bed pan for the first time in a month.
Hold a fork in my right hand, kinda.
Eating a Wendy's chicken sandwich.
Opening an envelope and reading the card all by myself.
Missed the Sheriffs Office Annual Awards Dinner, I'll be there next year.
It's the little things. Life is good, Can't wait to feel the rain, maybe next week.
Love to all of you and thanks for your thoughts.
Ed secretary for Marta.
P.S. I sure hope Marta can start to type soon, Ed !!!!!!!!!

Wow, missy, I am impressed over and over by you. I got to drive for the first time today since I broke me arm, so whenever you can have company, let me know and I'm there. (I haven't yet gotten off of River Rd, but it's only a matter of time)
You are in my prayers every day and I'm just watching God's work in your life. WOW.
I'm usually home, so call anytime you want to talk.
Love,
Earlene

Marta,
Wow, you have been busy! I'm so glad to hear you've been able to get outside, even if it was just for a short time! I know how much you love the outdoors. Bundle up, it's supposed to be really cold the rest of this week.
I'm looking forward to seeing you again when you are up for visitors.
Take care,
Carolyn K
Marta,
You look fabulous! The accident didn't touch your pretty little face. We are so happy to see you doing so well in your recovery. We walked Lucy for 1/2 hour yesterday, she really enjoyed it.
Warmest Regards,
Dennis & MJ
Marta:
You are BEAUTIFUL! Congrats on the move and congrats on all the things you are once again able to do by yourself. Today is the first day of intense PT. I'm sure you are up for it and will be ready to get back home sooner than predicted. You are an amazing woman and Ed is a lucky man to have you by his side.
Take good care.

It must feel great to get up and move around, its always the little things in life that keep us going. Take care. Love you and your family. Ed, Thanks again for all the updates.
