My mom is currently still up in the ICU at Sacred Heart. Majority of the bones below her neck were broken in the accident, her brain, spine, and organs were not, thank god. She had major surgery on Sunday, and did great. The left extremeties were fixed to the best of the doctors abilities and with therapy will work again. They will not operate again on this side for about a month. Her right side, the worst damaged will need further operations. We learned yesterday she could breathe on her own, but will remain on her ventilator through her next big surgery which is to happen this wed or thurs. Due to the fact she is in the ICU we cannot have many visitors at this time, we appreciate all of your thoughts and prayers and when she is out of ICU she would love to see all of you, our family cant thank people enough for all of there help and kindness. Mom is currently under a drug induced coma so her body can rest and bones can begin to heal we hope to bring her out of this later this week. Thank again, we'll keep you posted. -Emily
